The first eight of Bagley’s novels due for individual re-issue in 2017 are now advertised on Amazon together with their artwork. The Golden Keel, High Citadel, Wyatt’s Hurricane and Landslide are due to be published on 12th January, in the first quarter of next year. The Vivero Letter, The Spoilers, Running Blind and The Freedom Trap are due to be published on 20th April, in the second quarter of next year. The novels will be published under the Collins Crime Club Imprint with artwork by Kevin Tweddle, used previously on the single edition imprints published during the 1990’s.
Desmond Bagley’s transition from unskilled printer’s apprentice, aircraft engineer, miner, nightclub photographer and radio scriptwriter to one of the world’s most respected thriller writers is legendary. Travelling to almost every continent to research his exotic storylines, he was described by The Times as a ‘craftsmanlike thriller novelist’, whose stories are as exciting today as when they were first published. 1]
All the novels will be published in paperback and eBook (ePub, Kindle) format with the first four priced at £8.99 and £4.99 respectively. I notice, on both Amazon and the HarperCollins website, that the second quarter batch show different prices for the eBook editions, which are all priced at £6.69.
