Bagley’s novel was published in Norway by J.W. Cappelens Forlag a.s, Oslo under the title Flukt i blinde, which translates as ‘Escaping blind’. The 1982 edition shown above (ISBN: 82-02-09563-8 / 82-02-09565-4) was translated by Per A. Hartun and was published with the original UK first edition cover, designed by Norman Weaver.
The text on the rear cover reads:
“To be encumbered with a corpse is to be in a difficult position…” This is the opening to this exciting, colourful thriller. A seemingly innocent package may also be a burden – it might actually mean life or death for a British intelligence agent.
“Every single page is packed with action and excitement.” Aftenposten
This edition is bound in red leather with gold gilt lettering complete with Bagley’s signature impressed in gold gilt on the front cover.
