Screenings of the television series Út í óvissuna, or Running Blind, as it is called in the original language, have now ended in the UK. It was set in Iceland and based on the thriller by Desmond Bagley.

Filmed in Iceland last summer, the television series featured several Icelandic actors and Ragnheiður Steindórsdóttir played a main role.

The television series was in three parts and Dagblaðið’s reporter in London, Olafur Haraldsson, said that first two episodes were quite prolonged and overall the episodes were not as good as the book, which was published in Icelandic a few years ago.

Olaf said, however, that the Icelandic actors had done well, especially Ragheiður Steindórsdóttir. The British thought the Icelandic landscape impressive and many were of the opinion that it had been the best part of the series.
