Television on Wednesday 21:15: A Spy comes to Iceland

Desmond Bagley Running Blind Icelandic media article from Visir 18th January 1980.

The first episode of the film Út í óvissuna [Running Blind] will be shown on television on Wednesday. It has been long awaited here, because a large part of the series was filmed in this country and a number of Icelanders took part in it, including Ragnheiður Steindórsdóttir, who plays the second lead role.

The film is based on the book of the same name by Desmond Bagley. It tells the story of a former employee of the British secret service, who is forced to take a package to Iceland. Otherwise, his sworn enemies, Russian Spies, will be told where he is. Fortunately for the British man, he has an Icelandic girlfriend in Reykjavík. Stuart Wilson takes on the role of the former British agent.

More will be said about the series in Vísir’s weekend paper tomorrow.
