‘Out into the unknown’: Television 21:00

Tonight another episode of the British spy series, ‘Out into the unknown’ (Running Blind), based on the novel by Desmond Bagley and set in Iceland, will be shown.

Several Icelandic actors appear in the three episodes. Ragnheiður Steindórsdóttir plays the leading role, that of Icelandic girl Elín, who gets caught up in espionage because of her English boyfriend Alan Stewart, played by Stuart Wilson. Steindór Hjörleifsson, Harald G. Haraldsson, Árni Ibsen, Lilja Þórisdóttir, Jon Sigurbjörnsson, Flosi Ólafsson and other Icelandic actors appear in the series.

The story after the first episode: A senior employee of British intelligence, Slade, forces Alan Stewart, a former employee, to undertake a mission in Iceland. He must take a package from Keflavík to Húsavík. On his way Alan is attacked. Alan decides to fly to Húsavík, but allows his girlfriend Elín, without her knowledge, to take the package by road. Alan is pursued to Húsavík and people attempt to steal the package. He refuses to deliver the package to its recipient.

He and Elín then travel to Ásbyrgi. Graham, sent by Slade, attacks Alan and is hurt badly.
