People from the BBC are preparing to film a television series in Iceland
– Story by Desmond Bagley: Út í óvissuna
People from BBC Television have arrived to prepare for a television adaptation of Desmond Bagley’s novel Út í óvissuna [Running Blind], which is set in Iceland. The intention is for filming to take place during the summer, resulting in three 50-minute television episodes. It is planned that Icelandic actors will take part in the series, with the possibility of both large and small roles.
A few years ago, the author came to Iceland with a screenwriter with the intention to make a film based on the novel. However, that never came to fruition.
