Út í óvissuna – An Icelandic actress will be in the lead role

Icelandic actress, Ragnheiður Steindórsdóttir, has been hired to play the lead female role in the television series based on Desmond Bagleys novel, Út í óvissuna [Running Blind], which will be filmed this summer in Iceland .

The story takes place to a large extent in Iceland and Ragnheiður will play the Icelandic woman Elín, who is the main female character in the story. Filming begins in early June and is expected to take 8 weeks. The filming will take place in Reykjavik, Keflavik Airport, Krísuvík and further afield.

In addition to Ragnheiður, it is planned that several more Icelandic actors will appear in smaller roles in the television series. The major roles will be taken by well known foreign actors.
