Út í óvissuna – Television 21.15: Óvissuna comes to an end ends
Tonight the spy drama Út í óvissuna [Running Blind] ends. “In this episode Alan will be captured by Kennikin and held captive in a summer house. From there he escapes and decides to settle the matter with Slade”, said Dora Hafsteinsdóttir, translator for the series, in an interview with DB .
“He believes that Slade is in league with the Russians. Alan finds out later that Kennikin and his men have captured his fiancée. He tries to rescue her and the action ensues”. Dora also said “I don’t want to say too much more because there are many people who are following the series with great interest”.
This episode takes place in the south of the country and then mainly in Reykjavík and Laugarvatn. The drama also reaches Þingvellir and Keflavík International Airport. No doubt there are many waiting to see the end of this the Icelandic – British production. It is said that the streets were empty in the capital when the first two episodes were broadcast.
In the previous episodes Elín and Alan discovered that the package contained a strange electronic device. Russian spies chased them and two Americans attacked them on the way to Laugarvatn. The action also took place aboard the Akraborg, where Alan got into a fight with the Russians and British.
The series is based on a story by Desmond Bagley, which has been published here with Icelandic translation. The series stars Ragnheiður Steindórsdóttir and Stewart Wilson.
