Út í óvissuna not to be re-screened – No new plans for television

Desmond Bagley Running Blind Icelandic media article from Dagbladid 25th January 1980.

“Út í óvissuna [Running Blind] will not be re-screened on other days. It was shown on the same day of the week, and there would always be those who would miss the episodes,” Hinrik Bjarnason, director of television arts and entertainment department, said in a conversation with DB.

Hinkrik was asked if it could be possible to re-screen episodes of Út í óvissuna at another time as DB have received enquiries about the matter.

DB asked Henrik if there was a possibility episodes could be re-screened in the future. He said, possibly but the television schedule was solid these days.

The television department is currently waiting to receive and screen episodes of The Duchess of Duke Street, which will be shown on Sunday evenings.

According to Hinrik, a number of domestic entertainment programs are scheduled for Saturday nights in the near future. He said nothing has yet been decided on the type of programmes, or their presenters. However it is certain that Hildur Einarsdóttir will produce one of the programmes with a possibility of others.

Regarding the foreign material, no new programmes are planned other than The Duchess of Duke Street, which will be screened in March.

When asked again about re-screening the show on television Henrik said that the schedule has been busy recently without sufficient preparation in this case. The show would be put on the back burner for a while.
